The Dash Flute School was founded and is owned by Debabandya (Deb) Dash, a high school sophomore in Naperville and a flute player of 7 years. It aims to foster important core personality and cognitive development skills at a young age by teaching music and the flute.
From the basics to intermediate/advanced techniques, all will be covered in a fun manner, through weekly online classes. From 2nd-8th grade, all are welcome!

About Our Classes
Trusted Method & Resources
We use Essential Elements, one of the staples of music education used in schools across the country. Having played each of the 537 exercises on multiple instruments, I am able to breakdown each lesson to its core and make sure that students understand cohesively and with ease.
Value
The bottom line why lessons are $20 per hour is simply because I can afford to keep them cheap. Teaching isn't a full time job for me. However, that doesn't mean I don't have a full time passion for teaching and the flute! Read below for a bit about my qualifications, more info in the about page!

Teacher Qualifications
I am the first chair flutist/soloist for my high school's highest band, the wind ensemble. I have also been selected out of students from hundreds of high schools for the Ilinois Music Educators Assosication All-State Honors Band, the most prestigious state wide band in Illinois, after being first chair in the district band.

Constructive Environment
No student is left out, allowing new bonds and talents to be built together. I make sure to set aside time to review topics and have fun, because lessons are not just learning key fingerings, but ideologies and positive life attitudes, the true benefit of music lessons. We learn not only to impress, but to express and create, in a fun, calm atmosphere.
