The Dash Flute School was founded and is owned by Debabandya (Deb) Dash, a rising junior in Naperville and a flute player of 7 years. It aims to foster important core personality and cognitive development skills at a young age by teaching music and the flute. From the basics to intermediate/advanced techniques, all will be covered in a fun manner! Find out more below!

About Our Classes
Trusted Method & Resources
We use Essential Elements, one of the staples of music education used in schools across the country. Having played each of the 537 exercises on multiple instruments, I am able to breakdown each lesson to its core and make sure that students understand cohesively and with ease.
Value
$20 is relatively cheap for flute lessons. That's not because of a compromise in quality: it's because teaching isn't a full time job for me. However, that doesn't mean I don't have a full time passion and skill for teaching and the flute! Read below for my qualifications, more info in the about page!

Teacher Qualifications
This year, I was selected out of thousands of students from hundreds of high schools in Illinois for the Illinois Music Educators Assosication All-State Honors Band, the most prestigious state wide band in Illinois, being placed 3rd chair (meaning 3rd in the state), after being first chair in the district band. I am the first chair flutist/soloist for my high school's highest band, the wind ensemble.

Constructive Environment
No student is left out, allowing new bonds and talents to be built together. I make sure to set aside time to review topics and have fun, because lessons are not just learning key fingerings, but ideologies and positive life attitudes, the true benefit of music lessons. We learn not only to impress, but to express and create, in a fun, constructive atmosphere.
